FIRE!!!!
Lights are blinking…bells are ringing…head is pounding….and everyone is at my cube!!
Oh how I love fire drills!
Still seeing spots,
Me
But to end on a positive note, if there was an actual fire, I would be okay because MY CUBE is right next to the stairwell!!!! My problem would be going now eleven flights of stairs in heals!! :)
Thank the Lord!!!
By the grace of God, my brother was accepted into Texas A&M!!! He is now apart of the Class of 2010. I just wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers over the past few months. It has been interesting to say the least. This is the happiest that I have seen him in a very long time! So thank you! Oh and Gig’em!!!
Thinking maroon!

So much fun…too little time
So did you have fun this weekend??? Because I know that I DID!!!! :) My weekend started out at the Astro’s game and ended with me ironing!!! It was too fun, not really the whole ironing part…the parts in between!!! So the ‘stros game, they WON against the Rangers with this amazing come back from a three-run double hit by
Everett in the eight inning…it was amazing!!! From that moment on, we were all on our feet!!! There was only one crazy man that did some hand slapping…but whatever! Then we ended our night with some fireworks! It was amazing! Then Saturday was the Howard wedding, just think lush and extravagant. Thankfully, I was able to find a dress to wear…and it was amazing!!! It’s a halter, mid-calf turquoise blue dress! And it would twirl with me! (That's me below) I had fun…but then so would you in that dress! :) Then Sunday was my baby’s birthday! Well he’s not really my baby, but close enough. We had fun eating cake, playing baseball, and opening and later playing with presents. His wonderful Aunt and Uncle got him the
Mr. Potato Head family and the nicest drum-set/musical things EVER!!! I hope that he is able to play great beats for his mama and daddy!! :) So that was my crazy weekend…how about you?
So sleep, but ready to party again!!
Love you,
Me
Okay...so it's not really me...because I'm not that tan...more white...and I'm not that blonde...just a little more darker...but yet those are so my legs! HA! Come on now! I'm an accountant! My last art class was 10 years ago!! But that's ME!!! :)
Her song, my life.
So I don’t know if you’ve heard it or not, but this is my new theme…just revamped!

Keep Nacogdoches Changing…
You were thinking beautiful right? Well you’re wrong! :) So this past weekend I had the privilege of leaving Houston to see my family and friends up in Nacogdoches for Graduation. I left the client’s place at 5 and arrived thirsty at 8:15ish. But that’s another story…so I’ve been gone only 5 months and A LOT has changed. For example, Jitter Bugs has burnt down to the ground. (1 of 4 “clubs”) Lumberyard has closed. (1 of now 3 “clubs”) The campus is completely under construction…buildings are going up so fast that you wonder if Ty Pennington was there with a mega phone yelling at the workers. The students that were cleaning out their dorm rooms looked SO young!!! Am I really that old? Don’t answer that, if you wish to live! My nephew is completing full sentences. For example we got into a mini discussion/tiff if he wanted grapes or bananas. It’s just crazy!!! What else have I missed? To my Nac readers…what else has happened that you may have failed to have mentioned before? :) My new thought… “Change is a good thing, it keeps the excitement there so that you have something to look forward to next weekend when you visit!” Okay back to this thing called work!
Change is good,
Melinda
Time for a Vacation
As I printed out the newest, revised schedule, I noticed that everyone but me has scheduled a vacation. So that got me thinking...where do I want to go. My initial thought was to go someone in the US, but as I was blog rolling, I found this site that shows a map of all of the places that you have gone, only to realize that I've been just about everywhere. Well not really everywhere, but to places that are reasonably placed around this great state and that are worth my short amount of time and money. So now I need to know where to go. After yesterday's funk and today's slowly moving day...I just want to run away!!! So where should I go? What do you think?

Another Day Older.
Wow…it has been a little while since I’ve written, but I have a valid excuse…I’ve been BUSY!!! So I apologize! :) These past few weeks have been fun (sense the sarcasm?), but they have flown by! So last I said, busy season would be ending soon…and I was wrong. We have lost a few in the audit department over the past few weeks, so our busy season has been extended, into July…but I consider this a great learning tool. I have now been exposed to businesses including construction companies, mortgage brokers, churches, land developers, and my ever so favorite, an egg production farm. I have done full audit engagements, reviews for non-profits and for-profits, and a compilation for a medical branch.
So let’s see, over the past month, I didn’t get to talk about Easter, and my lack of clothing, or the lack of nephew time. I got to go see the hottest guy ever…and Sugar Land and Kenny and Uncle Kracker…it was fun. Also, I went to a “party” the same night and found out how the other side lives. It was interesting…to say the least. Then Cinco de Mayo rolled around and I had way too much fun with my co-workers, but I did get to meet and got the signature of JEFF BAGWELL. Then yesterday was my little brother’s Prom!!! It was so odd watching the limo roll off, when did he get this old? Then today was confirmation Sunday at church, when I realized that it has been 10 years since I have sat in those seats and repeated those lines, and that’s when it hit me. I am old…we are all old….When did it happen?
Next week my sister graduates with her masters. Then two weeks after that my nephew turns two and my brother is walking across a similar stage as our sister. Then two and a half weeks after that I’m another year older. What is going on? Where did time go? And now I’m complaining and I’m in a weird funk. So anyways, that’s what’s going on! I will try to post pictures soon from Easter, the concert, Prom, and depending upon time, maybe some graduation photos.
So, in conclusion, I hope all is doing well, I apologize for the lack of communication, and we will talk soon. I promise.
Until then,
Melinda
Oh and you're getting old too! :)
