A Little Texas History
Do you know what today is? Did you know what Saturday was? Did you know what happened on February 24th? Today in history was the Fall of the Alamo. This past Saturday was Texas Independence Day, and the 24th was the great day that Lt. Col. William B. Travis sat down and wrote his great letter from the Alamo asking for help. It seems that we get a little wrapped up in what is going on today and tomorrow that we forget about what happened.
Listed below are two links to “dramatic readings”. The first is a tribute to the men who gave their lives at the Alamo and the second is a reading of Lt. Col. Travis’ letter. If you have a moment, just listen and know why I am proud to be a Texan.

Plague of the Office
I am back in the office, for the first time (excluding Saturdays) in 4 weeks. And nothing really has changed here…except for the fact that people are surprised to see me…and I can’t tell if it’s a good surprise or not. :) That and then there are the other folks that out of the office in the field that know I’m in the office, but think that I have nothing to do…so they feel that it is there duty to give me work to do…correction, more work to do. So how do I stick it to the man you ask? I don’t know…I’m still trying to think of something…any suggestions? :)

Ideas…
I have all of these great ideas…ideas on life, ideas for stories, ideas on how to run away or where to vacation at…you know great ideas. But by the time that I think of them and consider jotting down on a note so that I can remember them later, something happens…I fall back asleep, I have to work, I don’t want to sit any more…you know, life. Who knew that being an auditor would be so draining on one’s creative nature?
