Second time is the charm!!

Okay...sorry that this is a week later...but I HAD to see Revenge of the Sith one more time before I could give a complete synopsis. Plus I'm on summer vacation and I have only turned my computer on at home only once...and I have this ethical issue of doing this at work...but screw the ethics for one day... :)

Walking out of the theater the second time was just as exciting as the first time!!!! Not only do you know what happens, but you are able to catch more details and information!!! For example....do you think that Chancellor Palpatine is Anakin’s father??? And in either 4 or 5, Leah said something about remembering her mother....well she had to had super memory powers, because honey I don't remember being born!!! And also in a New Hope, why doesn't Vader "know"/sense the force in Leah?? Granted she hasn't had any training, but she is Luke's twin...or is the force sexiest?? Because there was at least one woman on the counsel....before she was killed.

There are a lot of fight scenes and deaths....which is expected, but it still is sad...the guy who plays the Chancellor really gets into his evil role....and the majority of your questions will be answered.

So those are my musings....It was a great movie...the best by far.... in my humble opinion. So call the baby-sitter (aka me) and go see it!!! :) =

Okay....I'm off the Houston for a week...love you all...bye

Until then, Melinda :)

P.S. I know I have issues...and that I'm a bit of a nerd!!! :) But I'm okay with it....adios

Puddles of Me

Hehehehe...that just sounds gross... :) I live in Texas...aka the most humid place (for me that is) and I am the most stingiest person alive when it comes to saving/spending money on myself, and this sickness has caused me to believe that I don't need to turn on my a/c unit because it's not really that hot. (Did you know that it's reached almost 90 yesterday and it's suppose to be over 90 today.) Plus it's a window unit that is older than I am and it has these gross nasty mold spores that live inside of it and when you turn it on it spits them out at you, and I need to clean it but I didn't want to spend the time on something gross like that when I can talk a boy into doing it. Well that never happened, so last night instead of studying for my final that's tonight, I spent 3 long hours cleaning out my a/c unit. I was so gross, but I think that I got it to spit out as much of it's crap that it will, and I even removed the front cover and got way inside!!! It was so not fun! But now I have a working a/c, my house is clean, and my last final is tonight!!! So come on over...it's a nice 68 degrees and I've stopped itching :) (hypochondriac -mold spores)

Gone for now, Melinda :)

Dead Week and Finals...

So I have been absent for about 9 days...and I'm sorry...but I have no really interesting items going on in my life...I didn't go home for Mother's because this week is finals....and I didn't go home the weekend before that (when there were free tickets to the Astro's game against the Cubbies) because the following week was when all of my projects were due...hum...but now at 10:51 pm on this wonderful Monday night, I only have one final left on Wednesday night....and a huge tax paper that is due now...well not really now per say...but before the end of Summer 2. And I have nothing to do...and it's great. I actually cleaned all the dishes in my sink today, put away all my clothes that I washed yesterday...and I even think that I'm going to go to bed before 2am!!!!! So anyway...I get to go home on Thursday and then Sunday is my nephew's 1st birthday party...(even though his actual day of birth isn't until the Saturday after that) :) But I have a whole 10 days of a Summer vacation!!! WOOHOO (and that's without any days of work!!) So I am going to lay out by the pool...rain or shine...and lose about 100+ pounds that I gained over the past 14 days...and do nothing but remember how to write a story because that's what my tax prof wants my paper to be like....so anyone who knows how to write a story and not analyze something...please help!!! :) Okay...I'm off to bed...:) Good night all!!! Have a wonderful spectacular week!

P.S....Happy (be-lated) Mother's Day to all you Mother's, you are truely blessed... :)

I've been tagged (Some 5 days ago)

Okay...so my friend Amanda tagged me....and I don't know anyone else who hasn't been tagged that has a blog...so I am tagging people you don't :)!!!! So...Kim, Lindsey, Charlie, Brian, Andrea, and everyone else, if you read this you must answer in my comments!!! :) (Be anonymous and just say who you are!!!) Okay...so here we go...Here are the rules:pick 5 professions from the following list and complete the sentence. (The responses in the purple belongs to Amanda, the red to Jes, and the blue is mine!!!) (oh...and if a profession is taken that you want...go ahead and answer it!!! It's okay!)

If I could be a scientist...
If I could be a farmer...I'd live on a plantation and grow all my own vegetables, so that I didn't have to pay $4.99 for a pound of asparagus, or $2 per artichoke.
If I could be a musician...I would make music that everyone would like and something everyone would "get". I would be able to rock like the Beatles, cause you to cry like Loretta, and compose like Wolfgang.
If I could be a doctor...
If I could be a painter...
If I could be a gardener...I would be able to plant something and have it grow and be beautiful, and my talking to the plants would be THE reason why the plants are growing, not one of many reasons why I need to see a doctor.
If I could be a missionary... I would come up with a more interesting "position."
If I could be a chef...I would cook food that tasted so good that you would think that it was a sin to eat....and then you would find out later that it was HEALTHY!!
If I could be an architect...
If I could be a linguist...I'd travel the world, and be able to talk to everyone I met without feeling like the ignorant American who couldn't speak another language and just expected everyone else to speak English.
If I could be a psychologist...
If I could be a librarian... I would label books with helpful words like "Quick, Funny Read" or "Interesting" or "Waste of Time" or "Makes you mad at the author at the end"...
If I could be an athlete...I'd be a swimmer. Or I'd row on a crew team. I'd be fabulously in shape, and never have to worry about what I ate, because my career would be EXERCISING.
If I could be a lawyer...
If I could be an innkeeper... I would keep one room vacant at all times, in case Jesus wanted to come and stay.
If I could be a professor...
If I could be a writer...
If I could be a backup dancer...
If I could be a llama-rider... I would make it a very lucrative career that only very intelligent and capable people could do. Then I would be their leader and organize conferences on llama-riding, which would be held in St. Thomas.
If I could be a bonnie pirate...
If I could be a proctologist...
If I could be a TV-Chat Show host...I'd have Jessica Simpson as my first guest, and DEMAND TO KNOW THE TRUTH, the ABSOLUTE TRUTH about her relationship with Johnny Knoxville, and whether she and Nick Lachey were going to separate. And if that were to be the truth, I would be deeply, deeply disappointed, because I am so infatuated with Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.
If I could be an actor...
If I could be a judge... I would never have a TV show where I tried petty cases in front of ten people and a moronic bailiff. I would never wear a doily under my gown. I would give people punishment that fits the crime. If you steal from a store, you have to go work there for free. If you abuse your spouse, you have to get beat up by a redneck in a 4-wheel drive truck that has no muffler.
If I could be a Jedi...I would be so cool....my hair would be spectacular...my light-saber would be double ended (like the Darth Sith's), and Darth Vadar would so FEAR ME!!! :)
If I could be a mob boss...
If I could be a backup singer…I would be a good enough singer to audition for "Making the Band."
If I could be a CEO...
If I could be a movie reviewer...I would make people cry because I would ask question that might be a little hurtful...I would want to know what exactly were you thinking when you were "Sam Houston" in the Alamo? Who were you trying to be...because I know that you weren't the real drunk red head that Sam used to be....or what happens next...did you guys get married??? Did you guys work it out??? What happened...does your "Happyily Ever After" really stay? Would he really change for you? Did you really beat the deadly disease or is it just in remission?
