Bad Day

For Matt at least. Thought I was going to complain about my job again didn’t you?!?! I’m not, actually, I’m requesting prayer for my kid brother. As some as you may know, he is graduating from High School this year and he has his heart set on going to Texas A&M…gig ‘em?...any who, he did relatively well in school, got his Eagle Scout this year, and was even considering the Corp of Cadets. For the most part, an above average, kind-of well rounded kid. But today, he got the worse news possible for a kid with “plans”. In this afternoon’s mail was a rejection letter. And as his sister, I am terrified for his future. Like his sister, he gets his little heart set on how things “have to be” and any change throws him into a tail spin. He was so set that he was going to A&M that he only applied to one other school…to which he has not heard back from. I fear that he will not go anywhere and either live permanently on the computer or just never come back to the guy that he used to be. I don’t know, but anyways, the request is for prayers for him to see that God has a different plan in mind and for strength for my family, because life is not going to be fun when he’s not happy. So thanks.

Hubby said, "He should just finish out the tradition and come here to go to SFA!"
Don't tell Matt we said that. He may not like the idea. You sure didn't, but you got over it, too.
See you soon!

Awww...what a bummer. But I too believe that everything happens for a reason and it just wasn't in the cards at this time. There are many excellent schools in Texas he'd probably enjoy just as much, if not more.

Don't blame him for not wanting to go to SFA. Too close to home! :) I'll keep in my prayers...

And how are YOU? Long time since we've chatted. Like...since Amanda had Dillon baking in the oven!
